100 book challenge complete

About a week ago, I finished the 100 books in 2010 challenge. I think this works out to be about a book every 2 days, but I'm not that great at math, so I could be wrong. You can see the full list of my 100 books that I read here. There are a few graphic novels in there, which undoubtedly helped me finish this challenge faster. Those can be read fairly quickly.

I haven't read a whole lot of doorstoppers, which I've been wanting to get to, especially for my books to read before I die challenge, so I'm way behind on that one, since I've been reading a lot of what I'd call brain candy. A lot of what I've read has been books I've needed to read for review, or I had a deadline on, and so I'm not getting to a lot of books that have been on my TBR list for years. So maybe I need to take a look at what I'm accepting to review, or the ARC tours I'm doing.

On another note, I'm going to try to change the format for my reviews. I've been having a really hard time lately writing reviews because I can never think of anything to say. I feel like I'm writing the same things over and over again for different reviews. So I'll try something new and see how it works for me. I have to admit, although I love reading books, there are times when I just want to finish a book and move on to something else without having to think critically about the last book and write a review. So I really need to find a better system.

Brenda,

Congrats on finishing the challenge! I signed up for this one, too, and I'm at 68 books read for the year so far.

A suggestion for your reviews... Have you thought about taking notes as you read? Sometimes, I come across a book that makes me think more, has better than usual characters, etc., and I know if I don't write down what I'm thinking at that exact moment, I'll forget it when it comes time to write the review. I don't always do this, and I don't always use all of my notes, but I've found this to be very helpful.
